Chrooma — Color Education App · Effective April 6, 2026
The short version
By downloading, installing, or using Chrooma ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Chrooma is a mobile color education app that helps you explore, understand, and work with color. The App provides color tools, interactive challenges, educational content, palette creation, and composition features.
The App is available in a free tier with core features and a Pro tier with additional tools and content, unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase.
Chrooma does not require registration. When you first open the App, an anonymous session is created automatically using a random identifier (UUID). This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device. If you delete the App or clear its data, your local content (palettes, scores, preferences) will be permanently lost. We cannot recover locally stored data.
Chrooma offers a one-time Pro unlock — there are no subscriptions, recurring fees, or consumable purchases.
The App, including its design, code, educational content, color data, challenge systems, and composition renderers, is owned by the developers of Chrooma and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
Content you create in Chrooma — including palettes, compositions, and challenge results — belongs to you. This content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
When you export or share content from the App, you are responsible for how that content is used. The App may include a small watermark or attribution on exported images.
You agree not to:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Color accuracy depends on your device's display calibration. Chrooma does not guarantee that colors displayed in the App will match physical media, print output, or other devices. Educational content is provided for informational purposes and should not be relied upon as professional color management advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers of Chrooma shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (including in-app purchases) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.
If the App is discontinued, your Pro unlock remains valid for as long as the App is functional on your device. Locally stored data remains accessible until you remove the App.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Switzerland.
This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
